Ok in this post im gonna talk about the differences between cardio and mass gain or strength training. Well first off theres cardio which is any sort of physical exercise such as running walking playing basketball or anything that pumps up your heart rate. Cardio is good for weight loss and endurance training such as for a marathon. Cardio works by pretty much making you sweat and burn calories through elevating your heart rate. Strenght training or mass gain is pretty simple you build muscle and subsequently mass and weight (muscle weighs more than fat) buy lifting weights such as dumbells and machine weights. You can lift anything from a dumbell o weights on a bar to even using your own body weight through pushups and pull ups. The way i like to do hings is get my cardio in through playing basketball and a little lite weight training from lifting dumbells and leg and calf press. I usually go for max reps during my weight sessions for a lttle more of a cut or deffinition than for the mass. My workouts usually tend to lean towards the weight loss side than the mass gain side. The best thing to do is access your physical condition and see which one would benifit you the most remember if its not working like you want it you can always change it up. Thanks for reading and as always feel free to share your imput.

The Life
Have you ever looked at someone and thought hey id love to have what they have? If you answered yes then you have a pulse if not your to far gone to help just get the casket i know a good funeral home. But seriously we all have and its not necessarily bad it just adds to our dreams. But in most cases if you were to trade places with that person you wouldn't like it. There may be reasons why they have what they have and it might not be a good one. They could've inherited the money from a lost loved one well that's not very appealing is it. Theres also the most common and scary one they could be in debt up to or past there eyeballs. Its ok to want nice things its not ok to buy them if you don't have the means to afford it. Im not saying you have to pay cash but you should be aware and able to handle the bill thats gonna come with it. Its like the SNL skit if you don't have the money don't buy it that's pretty much how we got into this state of affairs the country is in now. Im also partial to the 30 day policy if you see something you like and have the money or can save for it wait 30 days without seeing it or thinking about it and then look again. Then if you want and can afford it than by all means go for it. Being frugal doesn't mean going without nice things it means figuring out what you need to get buy on and then doing whats right with whats left. It doesn't mean you can't splurge here or there to satisfy your buying craze it just means that when you do go a little cheaper. I used to be bade about that ive been known to use a whole paycheck paying overdraft charges. Now im charge free for a year. I have a problem of buying on impulse so now i plan my spending instead of buying a brand new game or athletic apparel i buy a used game; i once wanted a basketball game so bad i just had to buy one so i did but i bought a used older version for 3 dollars it satisfied my need and it was way cheaper than the 59 dollar price tag of the new one. Im also a rewards member at a sporting goods store so when holidays come i try to shop there so i can get points towards gift cards. When i get them i just don't go use them i wait till i get the urge to buy something i use the card plus i try to go small like a water bottle or a clearance item so i have money on the card left for the next splurge attack. So this was a little bit into the ways of being frugal it not easy but it can be plus its very simple if you can't afford it don't buy it. Thanks for your visit and as always comments and suggestions are welcome.

Ok so its been a whike since ive posted something sorry i ve been busy. First off id like to say if you havnt seen the new transformers you need to it was awesome. Second I havnt posted on fitness in a while so i thought i would. First i own the perfect push up i think everyone knows what that is if you dont its pretty much two handles fixed to a plate with ball bearings. It was good at first when you can only do like 20 pushups max at a time but after that the handles just hurt your hand your better of doing them like normal with all the weight on your hands not just on the part that you use to hold something. Id also like to talk about salads there a great healthy alternative but beware of all the stuff on it. The chicken will add calories but grilled is a little better than fried. Also these new salads with salsa and candied pecans and all types of other fixins on them arent really all that good for you the half a cup of candied pecans on there has more calories than the salad itself. Another thing the dressing if you load it up again the dressing will have more calories than the salad itself. This is all common since its just that many people at this point think oh its a salad its good for me well its not always the case. Thanks and as always comments and suggestions are welcome thanks and visit again.

Six Sigma
Ok so this post isnt about six sigma i just posted that because i have a friend that wanted me to write a post on it. Well im not but i will explain that six sigma is a process first used by Motorola as a process to weed out and find defects in products . Ok now back to this First Happy Fathers day to all. Now to the real stuff i think today id like to delve into saving money. There are many ways to save. There are also different things to do with it after you save it. The first thing is saving it there are many things you can do but the first is finding your money to save. First you must find the money to save. Pretty much the difference between your income and expenses should be savings and i mean the money after all your little nickel and dime purchases too. If theres little to no money left at that point then you should seriously rethink your spending or if thats not possible get a second job. There are a miriad of options for your account theres the account at your local bank, theres online savings accounts which i like i use ing, theres also bonds cds which arent the greatest right now plus if you do it right there are stocks but there not the greatest. So this is a little on savings thanks and as always let me know what you think.

Happy Fathers Day
First off, Happy fathers Day. Remember Dads are not perfect there people too but they try. Since this is Fathers Day i descided that this would be a good oppertunity for a frugal post. Do you remember back in the day when you could make something at school or with a parent for the other one and it was more than enough. Well honestly for a dad it will always be enough. But now that your older or married to a da you have a differnt set of skills, a clay bowl wont cut it now. But there is a miriad of things you could do especially as a family. Just think you could cut the yard cook or grill his favorite mill or both and just let him relax or go fishing til its ready. Theres also the kids you as a mom can help them make or do something for dad that he would enjoy as much or more than that tie or mug that you got him last year. Just think let him go fishing for a while and you could help the kids make a card cook his favorite meal or do his lawn work and when he gets back just let him relax and enjoy it because most of all its the time hes getting to share with you that he likes the most and money cant buy time. Try thinking like this on special Holidays like this one and youd be amazed at how happy he will be(not to mention the money youd save).

The Two Fs. Part Two
Ok now on to the second F Finance. There are many different aspects to finance such as savings, investments, income, and expenses. Today im going to paint a broad overview of each aspect i will no doubt expound upon all of them in later post. Well first there is your income theres more to it then just what you make at your normal 9 to 5. Theres also that little bit of interest you may get from your savings account or from your side job like mowing lawns or that 20 bucks you made in that yard sale last month its all income that you have earned somehow. Its yours now you earned it so use it(wisely). Second there is savings which most have in some shape or form. Be it a little account at your local bank, an online account, or a little glass pig or basketball on your dresser. Again its yours so use it. Now on to investments they could run the gamut from a high interest savings to a cd, a stock share, a government bond or a t bill. Heck even your 401k or retirement is an investment at this point. Now for the one that strikes fear into us all your expenses. Be it your set bills like mortgage or car note to that pack of gum you bought that and everything in between is an expense even if you just used change or cash to buy if it cost you money in anyway its an expense. Even going into work on an off day is an expense cause your going at the expense of your family and friends and they definitely make you richer than money ever could. so here is just a little rundown on Finance let me know what you think and always know theres more to come.

The Two Fs. Part One
Ok on this blog im going to talk about the two most important things in my life(other than family)and in most peoples life Fitness and Finance.Lets call them the two Fs. This being my first real post other than a little about me i think im gonna start on the topic that is newest to me fitness. First off i work at a municipal fitness facility and i see all the people that come in there from the body builders to the athletes to the average Joes or Janes. I myself am an average joe and a little bit of a weekend athelete. When i first started working there i was very out of shape about 5'9 260 now im about 5'9 and 210. Ive learned alot through obseving and listening and have realized Fitness starts in the mind. First you have be willing to do something about what you dont like just like anything in life.Even if the change is small anything is better than nothing no matter your goal weather it be toget of youre meds or to be an everyday athlete its hard to get started so start small be it going for a walk or ordering a water rather than that coke or tea. the most important part is to get started set your goal and work towards it. O Yea!! and check back to miy site.
